founder / chief impact officer
in july, 2017, i quit an unfulfilling job to travel europe for three months to challenge the way i viewed the world and allow myself some time for creative exploration. i started meeting other travelers, many of whom were fellow americans. our discussions revolved around our travel aspirations, concerns about social justice issues back in the states, and our underwhelming experiences with domestic travel. a common theme became evident… people want to immerse themselves in the various cultures of our country and give back to communities in need.
in brussels, belgium, the concept of co-mads was born. the goal would be to curate travel experiences (for individuals and groups) within the u.s., allowing individuals to immerse themselves in local culture and partake in unique adventures; while working to drive social change and promote the missions of effective nonprofit organizations and social enterprises. i hope you’ll join me and become part of the co-mads community. let’s witness and actively experience all that is great in this world.
